This month we will do Kai (www.kaimoves.com) facilitated by Kelly Atkins. Kai blends 21 moves ( 7 for grounded power, 7 for the core and 7 for expressive power) with authentic movement ( a practice that began in the 1950’s). It’s a variety of styles from ballet, African, modern/contemplative, jazz and hip-hop dance-based cardio class great for all ages and types of bodies. Men, women, and children welcome. Traditionally done barefoot ( you can wear shoes if you need too) the experience utilizes awareness of the bodies natural wisdom and alignment as well as the elements in nature to energize and heal. You’ll leave feeling integrated into body, mind, spirit, and emotions as well as exhilarated and released. Come check it out! No experience necessary.
“For the uninitiated, an official beer mile race is four quarter-mile laps with four full-sized beers interspersed between each lap. Over time, it has become an underground running and beer-drinking phenomenon. Today there’s even a site devoted to chronicling beer mile performances all over the world at http://www.beermile.com/….”
