This year, City Hall and the surrounding Campus will continue to offer a variety of activities, from a bounce house by Awaken Church to a pumpkin patch led by North Port Fire Rescue’s Benevolent Association. Information booths from local businesses and nonprofits will add to the festivities providing treats to attendees as they enter City Hall. The event is free for families. The City of North Port is asking residents to bring a canned good or nonperishable food item to donate to a local food pantry and kick off the annual holiday food drives. A collection truck will be parked outside of City Hall. Each year, the City hosts a People’s Choice Award for the best floor decorations. The employees take great pride in presenting this event, and the coveted Pumpkin Trophy proudly displays on the winning floor for the entire following year.
